In How Are You?
There are different phases and stages of Spiritual Awakening that occur at different moments for each individual. One of the phases that can happen is not feeling connected with Divine Source or our Spirit guides. For many of us the communication we receive from the Divine is what spiritually awoke us or what gave us the courage to let go and move into this transformative experience. However, there can be stages of our awakening where it seems like we are not getting as many signs or messages from Source as much as we used to and this can feel discouraging, abandoning, and lonesome. There is no clear reason or definitive answers as to why this happens but know that you are always energetically connected to the Divine. For some it may be time to empower yourself and learn about sovereignty so you are not so dependent and influenced by things outside of you. For others it may not be time for you to know or receive what you are asking for because your vibration is not ready or there are other people or things that must align in order for things to unfold with ease and grace. Have faith and remain on course. Continue to do things that make you feel good or inspire you. Perhaps this is a good time to learn something new. All things are temporary and this too shall pass.

In How Are You?
I need a break! This is the first time I truly understand the meaning of spring break! Lol! For the past couple of weeks I have been feeling sluggish and experiencing brain fog. But I am grateful to have something to look forward to: a long weekend with my daughter and a couple of friends to Solvang. Funny thing is preparing for this trip has also been a part of being tired for me. As a single mother for almost six years, I have been doing everything myself: cleaning the home, packing the bags, loading the car. It is exhausting! I truly have a new appreciation for vacation! I don't remember ever feeling this way about getting away. I can feel my body, mind, and soul craving downtime. I sense that a change of scenery will help clear my mind. I am going to mindfully take a break from the computer to replenish my energy. If you are reading this how are you feeling right now? What do you need to do for yourself? Do you ever feel on edge or extremely fatigued and know that your body and spirit are telling you to take a break? What do you do to reenergize? Where do you like to go for some respite?

In How Are You?
Spiritual Awakening affects all our bodies: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. One of my main clairs is clairsentience which means I FEEL energy. Today is Thursday; March 18, 2021; and I finally had the ability to exercise again. On Sunday, March 14, I was about to brush my teeth and as I was looking at myself in the mirror a sudden pinching in my lower back caused me to squeal in pain! I wasn't even straining that part of my back and a shooting pain just magically appeared! That pain continued to limit my mobility and strength for four days! I rested, did yin yoga stretches, took epsom salt baths, drank Kava tea, massaged my back with CBD oil, and remained gentle and kind to myself. Intuitively it did not feel like a medical emergency, more like an energetic shift and vibrational ascension of my sacral chakra. This moment reminded me of Mother's Day five years ago when I suddenly had the worst pain around my tailbone. It was the first Mother's Day as a single mom and the pain was so bad I had to skip being with my daughter and take myself to urgent care. They didn't find anything wrong and just prescribed laxatives and muscle relaxing creams. Neither helped. Then I was divinely gifted a session with an herbalist who gave me a root chakra essential oil spray and advised me to carry garnet stones with me. That helped alleviate the pain which was coming and going periodically. I eventually realized it was a root chakra clearing I was experiencing. My home and foundation were uncertain as I was going through my separation and divorce and my body was expressing the tremendous change physically. We do not know how energy will express itself as we shift and change but know it is temporary and our bodies naturally heal themselves if we give it an optimal environment: organic whole foods, clean water, relaxation, peace, healthy movement, supportive relationships, and unconditional love. Have you experienced mysterious pains?

In How Are You?
I was cleaning out my wallet and found a hand written note to myself stating, "If you cannot change the people around you, then change the people around you." I don't remember where it came from but it must have hit a note with me considering I took the time to write it down. As we awaken we see the world in a different way. Therefore, the people we easily connected with and had so much in common with may not be so easy to vibe with anymore. My ex-husband and I used to be able to finish each others' sentences but after my awakening there was so much miscommunication, misunderstandings, and fighting. Literally we were vibrating at different frequencies! And that's ok. We cannot change others, we only have the power to change ourselves. It is not our job or purpose to try and change people's perspectives or ways of life. They have to choose to change. I let go of my partnership, that part of my family, and many friendships in order to feel safe about being my true authentic self. When we let go we create room for new. I know now that it is ok to let go of relationships that no longer serve me and I them. It's not about loyalty. It is about authenticity and who will genuinely love me and support me for who I am now. Since my awakening I have made many new friends who love to nerd out with me about metaphysics, tarot, astrology, and spirituality; many of them being healers too! There are almost 8 billion people on this planet which means there is that many chances to make a new friend.

"Nice is something you do to please others, even if you have no interest, desire, or reason to. Kindness, on the other hand, assumes that you are true to yourself first." —Soraya ÂChemaly A part of Spiritual Awakening is realizing our own personal power and energy is separate from others. When we stop doing things for others from a place of needing outside approval it frees us to do things for others from a place of pure goodness. This helps us to not drain our own energy. If we continue to do things for approval it grows resentment within us if we do not receive the love and appreciation we expect from our thoughtful actions. The built up resentment can then manifest into negative outbursts of anger or even illness. As we awaken there can be criticism or kick-back from the relationships in our lives because we no longer do or act in the same way. They will notice the change and try to challenge it because it brings up things in their pain body or disrupts their world because we are not giving into their every whim. This is one of the hardest parts of awakening. Most likely we will lose relationships. But know that it is because it no longer matches our new vibrational frequency and makes room to create new friendships. When we learn to say no, create healthy boundaries for ourselves, and stop being people pleasers we free ourselves from behavioral patterns that have drained our life force energy.

I love this metaphor. Thoughts are energy and they manifest our reality. Some thoughts are not even our own, but ideas and phrases we have picked up from what we read, watch, and hear. When we are aware of our thoughts we can create the feelings and beliefs we wish to experience. We can weed out the negative thoughts that make us feel fearful or unworthy, and nurture the thoughts that help us to grow and shine. "Spiritual life is a lot like gardening. We till and cultivate the garden of our heart, planting seeds of presence, openness and the ability to respect whatever arises. We water each one so the things which are beautiful in us can blossom." - Jack Kornfield

I heard this quote today and I wish to remind you that you are here for a reason. You matter. The challenges we face strengthen us if we choose to learn and grow from them. When we conquer each challenge it prepares us to be more of who we truly are, our authentic selves. Each one of us are born with unique gifts and talents. It takes courage and confidence to figure out those talents. It takes unconditional love to share those gifts. Be you because there is no one else like you. You are part of a Divine plan. What you have to offer is needed in this world. Fear tries to keep us safe and hidden. Do not fear the light within you. Love yourself. Be yourself.

Spring is approaching and themes of spring cleaning are popping up in my awareness. I love this quote from Marie Kondo. It doesn't just resonate with our physical spaces but it also can allude to thought patterns, emotions, and what we are putting on and inside our bodies. Detoxing ourselves and our environment as well as clearing out things that no longer serve us, creates room for new and better things to come to us. Clutter can distract us and block us. Last year I did the practice of getting rid of 29 things for 9 days and it helped get energies in my space and mind moving again. Rubber bands, grocery bags, or recycling can count for one of those days. That tends to get the ball rolling and open up to more things that can be cleared out. Clearing space is freeing. Let us know if you did the 9 day challenge, what you got rid of, and how it made you feel. Happy clearing!

Our body never lies. Since Friday I have been feeling tired and low energy so I listened to my body and decided to skip my exercise routine for a couple days and allowed myself to rest. Today I felt the urge to exercise even though I tend to take Sundays off but since I hadn't exercised for a couple days I listened to my body and did it. Our routine does not have to be the same in order to stay aligned. Listen to all of you, be gentle and kind to yourself in order to continue on this living growth path without burn-out or fatigue.
